Zachary I. Riyaz

Zachary I. Riyaz is the principal attorney of The Law Office of Zachary I. Riyaz, P.C., in Riverhead.

Riyaz is a Long Island native. He graduated from Sachem High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, with minors in Information Systems and Biology, at Stony Brook University. He earned his law degree at Albany Law School of Union University, where he served as an editor of the Environmental Outlook Journal, and holds an MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. He was admitted to practice in New York in 2003.

Over eighteen years and more than one thousand matters, his practice has concentrated on divorce and family law, with a particular focus on cases involving business owners, professionals, and complex finances, along with criminal defense and estate planning. The combination of a law degree and an MBA is the reason he is comfortable with financial statements, business valuations, and tax returns, which are the documents most divorces with significant assets turn on.
